Skin Biopsy
This is a simple out-patient procedure which is performed within minutes. A 3 or 4 mm piece of skin is excised using a punching device, under local anesthetic injection. Skin Biopsies can help in diagnosis, screening as well as monitoring treatment response.
There is no need for admission, painkillers, rest or recovery. You can drive yourself back to work soon after the biopsy. You will receive your report from the lab in 4-7 days.
